Escrow Services
Realty World Platinum has an in house Escrow department. We offer Escrow services only to clients we represent in a real estate transaction and are governed by the California Department of Real Estate (www.dre.ca.gov). We are not an Escrow Company nor do we write, issue or insure title policies. Title policies can be ordered and provided from several Title companies depending on the choice of our clients. However, we recommend Commerce Title (www.commercetitlecompnay.com), as Commerce Title has the ability to underwrite the title policy through most of the major policy insurers. For example, Fidelity National, First American, Old Republic etc…
The Escrow department is operated by Escrow Officer, Steffanie Sharp (mailto:steffanie@rwplatinum.com). Clients of Realty World Platinum have the option to utilize our escrow services in their real estate transaction and there are several benefits for clients to use our Escrow department. The most likely benefit is the cost of the escrow service. In comparison, to many other escrow companies our Escrow Service is generally less expensive. We charge a flat rate of $995 for all sales $499K or Less and $1195 for sales of $500k and above. Due to the intensive labor involved with a short sale transaction an additional short sale processing fee of $250 is added to the flat rate.
Another benefit our clients receive is an extremely high level of customer service. The Escrow Officer is working for you our client and the other principals in your real estate transaction only. In most, escrow transactions the Escrow Officer/ Title Officer is working for several agents and companies at the same time. You might see how an Escrow Officer/ Title Officer in these other companies might provide better service to agents that bring in the most amount of business. This does not happen with our Escrow service, as the Escrow Officer is directly responsible to the broker of Realty World Platinum and you.
